Pre Term Courses
English Communication Skills (both spoken and written)
The program begins with a highly intensive session during 2nd week of the month of July. The objective is to build a solid base for developing the student's linguistic capabilities. The rest of the program is distributed throughout the duration of the MBA program.
Introductory Financial Accounting
The aim of this pre-course with a total of 10 sessions is to introduce incoming MBA students to the basic concepts and terms that underlie corporate financial accounting. Material covered includes: form and purpose of the balance sheet and income statement; definitions of key accounting terms in financial statements (e.g. asset, liability, revenue, expense); and basic accounting record-keeping (e.g. journal entries, accounts, etc.).
Basic Quantitative Methods in Business
A five session course on quantitative methods is offered for students not familiar with these concepts. The aim is to equip them with the mathematical and model building skills needed to successfully complete the core courses in the first year of the MBA Program – and, in particular, the Decision Analysis course. Topics covered in the quantitative methods course include manipulation of mathematical expressions, an introduction to statistics and probability and basic Excel model building.
Computer Application Course
Basic MS office course is taught to those students who have not got such exposure during their undergraduate studies.
